Dear Basketball Buddy,
Thank you for three great years of Rutgers basketball. It’s entirely thanks to you, and your enthusiasm that got me hooked on watching them play week after week during the winter months. Despite the cold harsh winds that blow across Livingston, we trudged across the frozen tundra to watch Herve, Ricky and Ax light up the rack. We’ve seen players come and players go, like Rashod Kent, Kareem Wright and Jerome Coleman. And we had fun.
When Rutgers lost last Thursday in the NIT championship, I was sad like so many Rutgers fans. But part of my sadness was in knowing that in all likelihood, by next season, you’ll be living farther away. And you won’t be my basketball buddy anymore.
So thank you for three fun years and a lot of hot dates. 🙂
