Turns out the bust he and his fellows did on Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico, which launched their storied career and TV show, was illegal. According to Mexican law, bounty hunting is a crime. Kidnapping (illegal detention), too. When you throw in the fact that he and his crew essentially jumped bail, it makes a hell of a tale.
